Born in Texas, Malachi’s journey is defined by resilience and growth. As a military child, he has lived in Texas, Colorado, South Korea, and now Germany, while traveling to countries like France, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. These experiences have shaped him into a determined and adaptable young athlete, thriving in new environments despite constant change. His basketball career began with CYS (Child & Youth Services) before joining the Stuttgart Eagles as a developmental player. Through hard work and dedication, Malachi was promoted to the travel team during the 2023-2024 season, competing in local and international tournaments. Now, as a U18 player for the Steinenbronn Beasts German team, Malachi competes against older and stronger players, excelling as a starter and making significant contributions in points, steals, and assists. As a freshman in high school, he aims to join the Stuttgart High School JR basketball team, continuing to push his skills to new heights.
A major influence in Malachi’s life is his father, a service member with 20 years of service and a seasoned basketball player who competed internationally and played for the All Army basketball team. His father’s passion for the sport deeply impacted Malachi, guiding him both on and off the court. To support Malachi’s growth, his father became an assistant coach for the U14 boys Stuttgart Eagles, helping to mentor him and his teammates. This close bond has strengthened Malachi’s love for basketball and continues to inspire his journey as he navigates new challenges.
Off the court, Malachi’s resilience extends to his personal life. After attending three schools and having 21 teachers in just his 6th-grade year, he has learned to adapt quickly, making friends easily and finding community within his basketball teams. His teachers often praise his respectfulness and positive attitude, qualities that reflect his strong character. Whether under academic or athletic pressure, Malachi remains focused and driven, always putting his best foot forward and rising to every challenge.
